Indie Swag & a Hat!

I got my Indie Swag today. I'm posting a picture so if you don't wanna see what's coming in your mail, if you are lucky to be in the club that is, then stop looking. Or skip to the bottom to see George in my second completed hat. :P

Clickety for a Big Pickety!

Isn't it TOO gorgeous!!! I'm so loving the yarn and the swag. SO COOL!

Scout created something special for this month. 350 yards superwash merino colorway Pomegranate. Lovely raspberry pinks, golden yellows, chocolaty browns and a bit of white to bring it all together. YUM MEE! :D

This month's non yarn swag is from Glamscience. Very Cute knitting themed note cards AND handknit gift cards, for when you give a knit and need to write out what it is and how to care for it. SO COOL!

I'm just thrilled to bits by this months goodies. Love!

In knitting news I killed off that mohair hat last night. :D Here's George modeling it for me.

Okay off to go knit and maybe kill a pumpkin... or I may do that tomorrow. I may just go knit.

BigBottom, Indie Swag and Halloween Stitch Markers!

Lots of goings on over here in Otter Country. So much so that it's hard to even know where to begin.

With that said I will try to say as much as I need to say without saying too much. *L*

First of all did y'all see Drew's Blog? The name I offered up was chosen for his first Knit Pattern Offering. :D Pretty Cool Eh.

The name you ask, why it's Purl McBigBottom! *L*

That Purse has got some back I'm telling ya. *snicker* Cute design, so if you're into BigBottom purses give it a try. The pattern is FREE! :D

I saw a few unhappy comments about the name. I'm not sure if I should feel bad or what. I hope I didn't stick Drew with an unflattering name for his first design. That's just what popped into my wee monkey head when I saw it. *sigh* But then again we can't please everyone. Whether it be a coloring of yarn or a name.

Speaking of Yarn I got in my ULTRA Fantabulous Month One Package for Scout's Indie Swag Club. SO COOL! It's Classic Chic, straight up awesome!! Here's the post at the Club Blog with a piccie of the test socks knit up. Don't go looking if you don't want to see the spoiler.

Hmmm I guess I'll be posting some spoiler pics anyway. So don't look any further if you don't want to see the goodies. ;)

This month we got a lovely sock yarn in the shades of black, white and greys from Scout's Swag and a really cute and functional bag from Kalio Chic Handbags. So COOL! I got a black and white polka dot bag. It's lined with a solid white on the inside. So cute!

So Fantastic!! I'm really pleased. I an considering trying this yarn out for my first toe up socks... or really my second as I'd be upset if I messed up with this yarn. *L* I think I'll use the first yarn I dyed for my first toe up socks and save this for my second pair. :D

Maybe it's my Halloween addled brain, but the yarn kinda reminds me of a classic spooky skeleton. Love it! *Happy Dance*

Speaking of Halloween I got a FREAKING AWESOME Halloween Package in the mail recently. SO COO! So SWEET! :D Thank you!!

KnitWit Momma sent me this really cool mail. I met her through the SP8. That was a very good experience as I got to meet her and My Pal that I Gifted to, The Bookish Knister. (She moved blogs over to Typepad, btw. *happy dance*) They were the bestest part of my PS8 Experience. :D

I know. It's CRAZY MAKING!

Wanna know why I'm crazy hyper?

I got in. I waited three days eye hawking the clock until yesterday at 6:00 pm Pacific time.

I had post it notes with the day, time and place. I had coffee. I had Cookie making sure I didn't fall over or loose my mind and forget in a moment of weariness. (Meh, haven't been sleeping, no it's not the coffee, yesterday was the first time in months I've made any.)

I'm embarrassed to say I clicked the refresh button a few more times than is considerate in polite society. o.0

But I did it. I got one of the 10 Ultra Fantabulous spots in Scout's Indie Swag Club for the first six months in her ground breaking unlike any other sock club sock club!!!

*high pitched girlie squee of joy*

I'm also slightly ashamed to say I didn't mention this on my blog before as I didn't want any of you'se people's taking a spot that might have been mine... but not really as I am a selfish Otter that way and if'n you wanted a spot you should've known about it on your own. :P

I also snagged a giftie spot of three months for my Ultra Fantabulous Best Friend. :D

It's like winning the Yarny Goodness Lotto or something. I'm still kinda high from it all. *L*

I'm a bit hyper. Can you tell? And because I am so hyper I think I'll share a piccie of my Breakfast this morning. I got up at 5:15 to go workout and was awake enough when I got back to make something creative. It was yummy. ;) It's my own recipe of twice cooked peaches and I'm very proud of myself. *L*

I am drinking some YUMMY Seattle's Best Coffee that I brewed. Yes I made coffee that doesn't suck. It's a Festive SISC Day Miracle!

Plus I added some Brown Cream De Cocoa and Caramel Baileys like Cream to it. ;^)

It's Nyummy!

Okay now here are some pictures of the Red Yarn I dyed for the Scarf Project. It occurs to me that taking pictures of red yarn is a bit more difficult than your average ducky eh. Or is it just me who can't get a photo of Red Yarn that doesn't look flashed out. o.0 The ones I'm going to show you are the "good" ones.  Err...

Same Yarn, right side is with a flash and the left is without. It's a LOT darker and better looking than it was.  :D

I dyed it with some Black Cherry Kool-Aid... and a few packs of normal cherry and one packet of Blue something or another. *L* I dyed both skeins at once so I'd get matching colors.  I'm pleased.

The yarn was hard to photograph as I said before. The picture I posted yesterday looks way better than it was. So to demonstrate the color I felt it was closer to I will tell you this, it was like Hex Code #FF0000. *L*

Here if you don't know what I mean. :P

I could go blind looking at that bright of a color! o.0 It was more an orange-ish red than a blue toned red if'n ya know what I mean. Sure it has it's place. Just not near me. ;)

Okay, and an hour and a half left waiting time. Does anyone else feel like the last three days have just dragged ass?! *L*

No worries, Cookie. I'm not Tipsy. Just hyper. ;)
