Eye Candy Friday - 7 Things Edition

The lovely and talented Cat selected me to do a MeMe Thingy. Since it's Eye Candy Friday I thought I'd try to do as much with photos as possible. :D

Seven Things You Probably Don't Know About Me.

1.) This morning after going for a lovely workout swim with the most awesome chickie with three heart beats ever I came home to find my honey had snuck (sneaked?) out and gotten me some super duper yummy strawberries for my breakfast. Also I hate it when sugar is put on my strawberries. It's just nasty. Why ruin a perfectly yummy as is bit of perfection. 

2.) I have had StarBucks THREE times this week. I entirely blame MonkeySocks. She was there for two of the caffeinating events. Monday evening we met to hang out and I had one of those icy blended coffee thingies. I think it was Peppermint Mocha. At that time we also saw a sign for the new Orange Mocha Thingies. Mmmmm! So Good. It's to replace the loved and greatly missed Valencia Mocha they so cold heartedly took away from me. Bastards. The Orange Mocha is pretty good. Different than the Valencia, but yummy still. Tuesday MonkeySocks sweetly brought me an Orange Mocha and then I got one today too. In my defense I've been REALLY tired. I NEEDED that extra caffeine. (shut up! :P) Here's a photo of our knitting and coffee on Monday.

3.) I like to wake my kitty up a lot during the day in an attempt to get her to sleep at night and therefor leave me alone. It's not working. She still really likes to lick my forehead and turn on the touch lamp at night. Here's a picture after I just woke her up. *grin*

4.) We finally have grass in our backyard! :D The honey has been working diligently to get it all setup and completed. I am very happy with the results. Lets hope it takes. If you need a refresher on just how parched and lifeless the backyard was go check out this post from June 28, 2006.

5.) If I had to choose the three celebrity type men peoples that I thought were super talented yummy and sexy I'd choose Hugh Laurie as House, William Petersen as Gil Grissom and Benicio Del Toro as any damn thing he wants to be. Me-Ow! *grin* Clive Owen can be on the list too. Heh.

6.) My mind has been completely overtaken by double entendres and innuendo. o.0 It's getting out of control everything little thing anyone says has me giggling like a naughty school girl. Not even just the overtly sexual stuff, but childish stuff too. Recently at a gathering a lady was talking about her dog named biscuit and in the course of talking said, "But Biscuit...". Well that's all I heard. BUTT BISCUIT. She of course meant however for "but"... but I heard BUTT BISCUIT. *L* Even now it makes me laugh.

Hi! I'm 13 and Weird!

I'd say a few other examples, such as the incident where a friends man person arrived to pick her up early and she announced that he came early... seriously I'm way too old to be this immature. *sigh* And yet here we are.

I'm even seeing Penis's in odd places. (snicker... see!)  I took a picture of a cloud that looked a heck of a lot like an erect penis. I waited until I stopped at my destination to take the photo so it doesn't look a great deal like the magnificent sky penis that it was by the time I arrived. BUT trust me. Here's photo proof of the sky penis.

7.) Five Years ago today I met a very special person. She has become one of the most important people in my life and I cannot imagine being where I am today without her. Thank you for teaching me about friendship and love and everything in between. *HUGS* ♥

Sunday Sky & The Happenings

I didn't take a picture of the Saturday Sky yesterday. I intended to. Not that it was a very photogenic sky. Beautiful though it was with it's wispy white tendrils clinging to the mountains and pale blue kisses visible of the teasing sky. Just busy I guess. Or a mind preoccupied. Mainly though the images would have been washed away by my point and shoot camera. I have entirely changed my mind (AGAIN) on the whole camera thing. I really want a DSLR camera, but... well I need to do a bit more research. Plus I want a new tighter point and shoot. Maybe after work Monday I'll run out and have a hands on lookie see. I've been looking at various online review sites, but sometimes you just gotta hold the little bad boys in your hands.

If anyone has any personal experience with DSLR camera's you'd like to share or have any recommendations on brands I'm open for some friendly advice? I was going to make the purchase at Circuit City. That has changed given how messed up they have proven themselves to be by their recent business practices I think I'll go elsewhere. That's just not cool.

Last night as I was waiting for MonkeySocks to show up at a restaurant not far from my house for dinner and I started to take a picture of the view. It was facing towards my house and even though the sunset was muted due to the overcast sky it was still breathtaking.

But then I realized my camera batteries were dead. *L*

Le Sigh, Them's the breaks kiddo. So no Saturday Sky Picture. I do have a new pack for my upcoming trip to Otterland. We leave early Wednesday and will be back Saturday afternoon...  or Sunday afternoon. As for the Morrissey Concert on Sunday. We'll see. I'd love to go, but.. well we'll see.

So dinner with MonkeySocks was fantastic. She was a bit late due to a yarn emergency, but as a fellow knitter I could totally relate and begrudge her nothing for it. Sometimes you gotta put the yarn in the naughty corner and she had some naughty ass yarn on her hands. *L*

It was okay that she was late. It was nice to be in a quiet moment and just think. It was windy and much cooler than it should have been, but it felt nice to just breathe for a moment and look at the sky.

It amazes me how much people can have to say to one another. We we're there talking for four hours or so, pretty much nonstop. Then after I had called my honey to tell him I was coming home in a bit we decided to take it elsewhere. We went and had mint tea and talking at a place not too far from my house for a few more hours.

This was especially funny since I'd only had a few hours sleep the night before and had sand paper eyelids and was just about to fall over prior to meeting up with her. I can't blame my hyper upness on her entirely... A few hours before we hooked up I had a Grande Non Fat, No Whip, 3 Pump Triple shot Peppermint Mocha (I'm a Pod People!) . Holy Fuck was that yummy. *grin* It did what it was intended to do and kept me going long after my ass should have been in the sack.

When I finally made it home after 2:00 am I slept really really well. First time in weeks I've slept more than 6 hours. That was nice.  I imagine I'll sleep well in OtterLand too.

As for the knitting I'll be taking with me... we'll see. I've got several things going right now. Though I really want to get started on some Dave Lace... and the Kew Socks... and and and... so many things. My mind is a twitter with all of the possibilities. But perhaps I should finish something I'm already on. The honey socks will be good for car & travel knitting. Plus the Ducky Hat or maybe the scarf... I really need to finish something. *L*

As for the Sunday Sky, here is a photo I took back on the 8th when the honey took me to Animal Ark. I love a big sky. One of the reasons I love Nevada so much, you can see where you are.

In other news I made it to the gym two times this week. Plus a little walking on the side. At the gym Wednesday night I first walked on the flat gerbil wheel thingy also known as a treadmill. I did a mile in half the time it normally takes me. *grin* Then I did some weights and topped it off with a lot of laps in the pool. Then Friday when I was with my morning workout partner in crime I did 15 hard fast minutes on the elliptical trainer and 1.3 miles on the treadmill in decent time. I'm feeling pretty darn spiffy about myself these days. *Super Happy Otter Dance*

This week Rachel will be off doing some special stuff and I'll be in OtterLand later in the week so I'm going to try to get my workouts in early in the week. Plus I'll be walking all over OtterLand so that's good. Heh. Anything in OtterLand is good though. ;^)

Saturday Sky & Vikkie Day Oh My!

What day is today? *blink* Where have I been? Lots going on over here for the Otter. It's a very fun time. :D

This past Saturday was an absolutely wonderful day.

Although it was a bit windy and sometimes overcast it was really nice. Plus it was Vikkie Day so it was kickass, just as one might expect a Vikkie Day to be.

Before I go any further let me show you the sky, as seen from the front porch of my favorite LYS.

The day started off bright and early for me. Actually I'm not sure how bright it was then. I got up at 6:00 am and started preparing the Vikkie Day Lunch. I made a baked pasta thingy and salad.  I got to the shop around 10:00 and started drinking lots of coffee and knitting & Chatting with Florrie and another nifty lady who was there.

Guess who was not there? Well two people, but freakishly missing was one Miss Vickie.

How can you have a Vikki Day without a Vikkie? Not like you can just randomly pick one up at the store. *sigh* So that's when the harassing phone calls started. I had to call her twice before she finally showed up. Something about knitting like mad in a crazy sock competition while going to school and needing to sleep sometime. Pfbt! Sleep is for the dead. And the undead. She could'a knit through the pain. :P

(YAY!! Squeee!! I just saw on the sock thingy that she won a prize and I'm such a dork I called her to tell her to check the sock madness blog. Dork History in the making!)

After Vikkie Finally showed up we got to knit and talk and just be plain silly. I'm good at silly so this was mucho fun for me. :D Florrie, Vikkie and I had some of the yummy lunch and then Florrie got back to her stuff and left me to annoy Vikkie all by myself until MonkeySocks eventually showed up. The three of us went outside onto the comfy Patio to knit and talk while we enjoyed the sometimes sunny afternoon. I took a picture of Vikkie while she was knitting. With her permission here it is.

We knit and talked some more until Rachel showed up after 5:00 and the four of us went to Vikkie Day dinner. I had a few drinks ti further my way along with Resolution #10. *L* I even got Vikkie & MonkeySocks to get a Dirty Vodka Martini. I'm not sure how they liked them. How'd you guys like that? *L* Most people don't care for straight up Grey Goose vodka with a splash of olive juice. Mmmm I love it.  Rachel has people inside her and therefore was the responsible person of the night. There may even have been some yummy Vikkie Day Yarn Giftie involved in the evening. It was a last minute giftie MonkeySocks and I picked up for Vikkie after we noticed her eye balling it all day.

After a yummy dinner Rachel went home and MonkeySocks and I went to Vikkie's to see her yarn and knit things. Also some crocheted things. She has these little crochet purses. One of them looked very much like a Penis Cozy. *snicker*

MonkeySocks drove me home sometime after 10:00 pm... maybe closer to 11:30...

It's amazing how much people can talk about with other people. It was a really fun day and I'm so glad I've had the opportunity to meet all these nifty Reno Knitters.

So yeah still no knitting content. I have been knitting. Just nothing really new to show for it. The Ducky Hat and I are doing this two steps forward one step back thing. Gotta tink back another row. I really shouldn't have been knitting the chart part of his face during the season finale of Battlestar Galactica. D'oh!

The honey socks are going well. I'm doing an Eye of the Partridge Heal and am LOVING it. :D So cool!

Other than that just dreaming about all the cool knit projects I want to do with all the cool yarn I have. *L*

Night of the Living DAVE... er Dead.

Dave makes such a cute Zombie. Most don't even try to smile for the camera. ;^)

Today is an awfully Zombie Day for me. This is kinda funny considering how much I adore zombies.

Now I haven't eaten any brains or anything like that. Though the honey is making Cincy Style Cheese Coney's for dinner and that's kinda like it if you think about it. Ick don't think about it. o.0

What I mean rather is that I feel awfully Zombie-ish. I think the extreme lack of sleep I've been dealing with the past few weeks is taking it's toll. I'm just plain fucking tired.

The cause of my sleepless nights... part cat, part other stuff, part weird. :P

I'll talk about the cat. See TKK is a very special kitty. Like most kitties she gets the midnight crazies... as well as the 3:00 am to 6:00 am crazies. o.0 But she also doesn't just get crazy she gets... weird. I think she may turn into a zombie kitty.

She's trying to eat my brains. I swear. She's trying to lick her way through my forehead and eyebrows. It's fucking nuts. Not only is it creepy in a "what's that wet thing so close to my eyeball" kinda way, but also the tongue action on the forehead kinda hurts. Super industrial strength sand paper cat tongue action!

For all I know she's already eaten my brain and I'm just here snapping my synapses in reflex like a chicken with it's head cut off. o.0 You never know .

So last night I had a plan. I was going to lock her out of the bedroom so that I could get some uninterrupted sleep. Didn't happen. I kept waking up freaked out that she WASN'T there and had to go check on her.

Fuck. I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't.

Tonight I'm taking something to help me sleep. *zombie face*

Plus I'm just tired. It's been a long couple of weeks.

Need sleep.

Need sleep....need sleep.... need Brains.... BRAINS... BRAINS!!!!

Actually you know what I need. I need some chocolate bunny butt.

Good thing for us the biggest Zombie Holiday is coming up. There is always Sale Chocolate Bunny Butt the next day. Funny how that works. *L*

Saturday was a good day. An interesting day...

I was a little hyper most of the day. Mainly because I was trying to counteract MonkeySock's & Victoria's yawning. Damn those girls need sleep more than I do. I have a cat on my head at night. What's their excuse. Pbfft. :P

Just kidding, ladies. *blows kisses* (How you doin'? *wicked grin*)

I got some knitting done. Almost to the point where I can do the heal flaps of both socks. I'm doing a new stitch for the heal flap. It makes a woven looking pattern that is supposed to be soft and long lasting. Me love it long time. *snicker*

It was a very nice day when the wind wasn't blowing. Not everyone's hair survived the day looking it's best. Myself included. o.0

I really enjoy knitting outdoors. Whether at my house or the shop. Especially if you enjoy the company of the people you are with. :D

Of course it's hard to knit very much when you're all hyper the way I was... am... I was too busy inflicting violence on people with my ultra sharp knit picks DPN's. Yay Violence!

No worries no lasting damage was done to anyone and I only violence those people I adore. Yay no lawsuits! *L*

It was a truly lovely afternoon with very little bloodshed and lots of laughs.

Otter's 1st Knitaversary

Guess what today is? It's the anniversary of the first day I started knitting. :D

Last year at 6:00 am I couldn't take it anymore and HAD to start knitting. I kinda wrote about that fateful day and how I got started with knitting on this post here. It also includes my first cast on and a few other things. *L*

I'm still very much in love with knitting and even though I've had some heartbreaks and life lessons. There have been far more wins than losses in the first year of my journey. The Bunny Bag was a great experience. As was the Bitchin' Mittens for which I won a prize for most Unique design. *L* I think if I had to choose my favorite thing I've knit so far it would be my Pink Dream Socks. Yummy Yarn makes everything better. :D

I've also met some really wonderful people in the last year. Y'all know who you are. Online and in person and in a few cases both. Still have lots to get to know and get to know better. :D Knitting has also allowed me to connect with my best friend on a different level. She's always made me magical yarny things and I never understood how a person could do that. It seriously seemed beyond my brain, until I just picked up some yarn and got started one day. Now we can share the magical yarny knitting world and it's so much fun!  :D

I've also learned that not all knitters are the peachy keen perfect people some people would have you believe all knitters are. We're just people and as we all know people have a great capacity to suck ass. Anyone that tells you otherwise likely has something to sell you or is off their rocker a bit and thinks they can hide their own flaws in the wool. Nope. Still humans.

Well not me. I'm an Otter. :P

Crazy Knitters can't hold back any of the fun associated with knitting though. They'd be crazy even if they didn't play with yarn so what's it matter. *L*

It's been a GREAT year. I can't believe I ever didn't knit. Odd how it's become such a part of who I am. What the hell did my hands do before I knit? It boggles my mind. *L*

Funny how it kept getting wider and wider and all those lacy holes. I'm a freakin' genius! :P

I actually cast onto that last year on this date. Cookie suggested I go get some Bamboo needles and gave me several pointers since I was still confused and without a book, a lesson or a brain. I ran right out and got those needles and got started... and here we are today. *smile*

I can't wait to see what this next year holds for my knitting. :D

Adventures with Ann & Other Things in My Head

Where the hell did the week go? Seriously. o.0

It's apparently Thursday. My Office is a mess. My cat has two less teeth today than yesterday. My brain may or may not explode... and that may or may not be a bad thing. *L*

First of all I'll just say I'm okay, in case there was any doubt. Just trying to catch up. As for my office I trashed it myself in the process of getting organized again. I still haven't recovered from traveling. But I'm okay.

I had a GREAT time seeing Ann last week. She is so crazy easy to talk to / listen to / interact with. It was not scary at all, even if she did threaten to kill me and say she was a serial killer on the phone. *snicker*

We talked for hours and it seemed like minutes. I'm not sure how she managed to do that. For all I know she spiked my coffee and then drinkie and while I thought we were talking gave me some kind of brain probe. o.0 That's right Ann may or may not be an Alien from outer space. If she is then Aliens are far cuter than Hollywood gives them credit for. :D

Just to be safe though if I suddenly mail her all of my Cabin Cove yarn or something crazy then you know it was the brain probe and she needs to be stopped before she does it again. :P

I had a great time with her. Definitely the highlight of my trip. The trip didn't go so well otherwise and knowing I was going to get to see her really kept me going and positive. Thank you, Sweetie!! :D We'll have to do it again. Here's her post on the matter.

My Socks were drinking a Grey Goose Vodka Martini, Up, No Vermouth and Extra Dirty. Her Socks had a Salt Rimmed Margarita. *grin*

Both of our Shut Up And Knit Your Cabin Cove socks are done now. I've yet to wear mine. I think I need some cute shoes to show them off better. Hey it's a valid reason to buy shoes so hush up. :P Oh and to anyone new to the wonder that is Ann. She leaves for her Ireland trip tomorrow night. I bet she has all kinds of kickass tales of her adventures for us when she gets back, so stay tuned! :D

The same night I saw Ann for 5 hours I went to my brothers house. We ended up talking and drinking all manner of Belgium Beer for another 5 hours. That's like a record for me to interact and have a good time with people for 10 hours. It was good to see my brother. (Cookie: All is well.) I kinda wish I had planned more time off for being in that part of the woods, but it was a harsh trip and I was glad to get home. The bestest part is that I don't have to travel for business again for a whole 3 months. YAY!!!

Btw, does it feel like this year is flying by crazy fast to anyone else or is it just me. Cause I swear it seems like time is going too fast. Then they go and throw the time change on us early. WTF?! (Note: If you use Microsoft and don't have the auto updates set you'll have to go download the time change patch thingy by Saturday so you're time will be correct. Unless you use Vista and then you're just fucked no matter what. *L*)

Ann also sent me home with a sweet goodie bag and I'll take a picture of my goodies when I get my office more sane and can see where I am. Well most of the stuff, she sent me home with some really yummy medicinal chocolates. I needed them today I tell ya. Thank you, Ann!! *HUGS*

Today I took my sweet wittle fuzzy face kitty to the vet. They were going to check out her teeth, clean them and  look at her ear.

They were supposed to call us if anything went wrong or they needed to do anything else.

They didn't. They removed TWO teeth and didn't call us to talk about it. As soon as the crazy bitch on the phone said that I told her to wait and got the honey. I could not calmly handle that. We signed all this shit that said they HAD to call us. She only had four back teeth left. Now she's down to two. (She has some front teeth left, but they don't crunch food.) The honey talked to them. Yeah it's final we are SO finding a new vet. I can't handle this shit. The last time we kenneled her they forgot to give her the special treats we left for her and some asshat put a sign on her door that said you had to wash your hands after touching her. SO NO ONE BOTHERED TO PET HER OR TAKE HER OUT! o.0 The nice Vet Lady said a Tech person made a mistake and thought she had a contagious kitty cold. She didn't. In fact it's not even the Vets there I dislike. They just have some of the stupidest techs. It was a Tech that told the Vet we had given the okay for the extractions. We did not. It was in writing. She apologized, but this is not going to cut it. I can't take the chance of TKK not getting the best possible care. Oh and the last time they lost her nice kitty carrier. They eventually found it, but what the hell. Not Cool.

The poor kitty was happy to see us to take her home. She hadn't eaten all day so she got a can of wet food as soon as we got back. Then she's been sleeping and snuggling.

The shitty thing is that we would have agreed to have the teeth removed. They were getting sensitive and she'll likely be a lot more conformable now. But we had all agreed to discuss any of the options before action was taken. Grrr. I hate stupid people.

I'm hoping things calm down with the kitty soon. I haven't been sleeping too well being worried about this. I keep checking to see if she's okay and breathing. She normally snores, so when she's quiet it kinda startles me. I woke up a lot last night to make sure she was okay. *falls over* She is okay. I'm okay. We are all okay.

She has medicine, pain and antibiotic to take. The honey is the medicine giver. I'm too worried I'll be too rough or she won't actually take it. He's good with it though.

I haven't knit at all this week, well a bit on Monday. Just been busy and worried. I've been snuggling the kitty a lot so my hands haven't been free. I need to get one of those baby contraptions that holds the kid onto the mom. I'm sure my cat would love that and then I'd be able to knit. :P

In addition to the worrying about the kitty I've been going back and forth in my mind about which yarn I want to use. Too many choices. *L* Not a bad problem to have. I think I've narrowed it down. I may just start two pairs. One with a yarn I love and a Pattern I'll need my brain on and another with yarn in a color I want to knit with in a basic no brain pattern. I really need a no brain fast knit right now. Duckie Hat is still here. I just have sock fever. I'm blaming Cookie, Dave, Ann and a whole bunch of other people. You know who you are. :P

So in conclusion. We're all okay. Life is good. Too much yarn isn't a bad thing if you are organized and having a honey who can give cat medicine is priceless, as is having a best friend who gets how worrisome a trip to the Vet can be.

 

Valentines & Pod People

I don't really have anything against Valentines Day. It's not a romantic holiday to me though. I don't feel like making a big show to my honey. I'll buy him a little something, but it's something he'd want any day of the year. No baby blue thong with elephant ears to hang off his dangle for my man. They even have one that is a cow face for the front of the man area. o.0 Who designs that shit anyway? Worse who is attracted to cows that is buying the stuff?!?!!

People are strange. Cookie made a funny point in her post today about how men start freaking out at a certain time and buy anything, anything at all to give to the person they have ignored pretty much every other day that year. I saw a PERFECT example of this when I was out today. A young man was walking down the side of the road, looking miserable, carrying a stuffed ape toy that held a red heart that said I love you on it. Think his girlfriend will feel the love? Will her heart be overflowing with love renewed by his token of devotion and commitment. Or will she wonder if he knows who the hell she is. Why he had to be a selfish prick when he went to hang out with his friends to play X-Box rather than hold her when her pet pookums passed away.

I think people don't get it. The card/candy/stuffed crap & cheap drug store jewelry people aren't helping it any either. I'd say no wonder men and woman are confused about this day, but then again just plain being nice and considerate to one another everyday shouldn't be so damn hard. Common sense, even if you have to stop and think about it sometimes isn't that hard to get.

Having said all that I'm spoiled rotten. Don't tell my honey this but he has ruined me for anyone else. Not that I want anyone else, just say'n. He is good to me everyday. He cleans without being asked. He does a lot. He mostly understands or tries to when I am down or grumpy and need to be left alone. He encourages me to go hang out with my friends. He is loving and awesome. Not perfect mind you. No one is and I don't expect him to be. He's probably nicer than I am. I'm trying to be nicer. I'm trying to put him first the way he seemingly naturally does with me. I'm trying to be understanding when he is tired or grumpy and I encourage him to explore his interests as well.  That is my gift to him everyday. To try to be as good to him as he is to me. But like I said, I am spoiled rotten.  Today when I was out I grabbed a bottle of nice Scotch for him. He is easy to gift for. I didn't get it because It's hearts and little chubby angels day. I got it because it's a simple pleasure he can enjoy... that won't take up shelf space. :P Seriously we are still organizing over here. *L*

The people I tend to think about on this day are my friends. To me it's more about general appreciation. I appreciate my honey for all his wonderfulness to me everyday. I appreciate my Cookie for her awesome gift of friendship everyday. I appreciate my wittle bundle of fur for allowing me to be her human.

I got a few gifts to show my appreciation for people, but failed to make it to the post office. That's fine though. Just cause somethings late doesn't mean it doesn't have the same intent or joy infused with it. :D

Speaking of the mail... I received a very nice package in the mail today. I'll give you a clue: PINK BABY ALPACA!

I can't wait to give the pattern a try with that luscious pink baby alpaca lace weight. Mmmm Baby Alpaca. It's crazy soft. I think I'm in love, but then again I've always had a thing about Baby Alpaca. ;^)

I really need to get my brain together so I can start knitting with all this fabulous yarn I've been acquiring. *L*

In other news this morning I met up with Rachel and did the Gym thing. I walked on the flat gerbil wheel thingy 1.48 miles. On the recumbent bike thingy I did 1.05 miles. I'm invincible. Wheeeeeeee!!!

In addition to being uber proud of myself I had a great time talking with Rachel, although I'm fairly sure I'm really dorky and maybe talk and laugh too much. Let's hope she hasn't noticed what a goober I am eh. *L*

Anyhoo so at the gym the treadmill has a calorie counter that tells you how many you burned. I don't recall how many, but it was still less than you'd think. Sooooooooo much easier to add 'em on than take 'em off. Sheesh!

After I left the gym I hit one of the many Starbucks between my house and anywhere. I needed a coffee fix, not that it helped mind you. I'm still a walking zombie.  You'd think coffee that strong would jump start my brain. But maybe that's their plan, have us all be walking zombies. Have you ever seen people at Starbucks order? Something isn't right. They walk up and in a monotone voice tell the coffee person they want a Non fat half caff tripple grande light syrup extra foamy caramel macchiato. It's fucked up. o.0 I'm not even sure what the hell half of that means. I know what a caramel macchiato is and it's pretty yummy as it is.

So it occurs to me these people have their own language. Their own code speak. It's weird.

Plus there are five down here just at the south part of town alone. They reported that in the paper yesterday! o.0 I pass two everytime I go anyway. There are 3 within two miles of me. You could triangulate my location based on Starbucks. Seriously.

I think I've figured out what's going on. They are Pod People. Starbucks has drained them of their blood (and $5 per coffee drink) and replaced it with the roast of your choice. Coffee for Blood.

So anyway as I was walking into one of the Starbucks I pass on my way home I thought of all those little calories I had just removed with such great care. Did I really want to drink them back on within moments? No. No I did not.

So I walked up to the Barista and ordered a Non Fat, No Whip, *2 pump Peppermint Mocha.

I guess I'm a Pod People now too. o.0

These long bank holidays need to stop NOW. Someone somewhere in blogland, though I don't recall who mentioned that these short weeks felt longer than the regular weeks. I think they (whoever the heck they were) were onto something. I am beat. Put me in a coffin and tell everyone with a grudge against me it's dancing time.

I did have a good week though. I think. *squints* From what I can remember of it that is.

Yesterday I had a BLAST. :D Nearly killed myself but it was super fun.

I went swimming. YAY! Otters love to swim ya know. ;^)

Sore as heck today though. *L*

I also got to hang out with some faboo knitters last night. Always a good time.

Anyways so it's Friday and that means cool unexpected pictures... or something. It's candy it can be any flavor you want. :P

Oddly I have Ohio Flavored Candy. I don't even want to guess what that tastes like. Ann Care to hazard a guess? Hehe.

Here's a weird ass tree my brother and I found one evening when we were looking for a cool place to grab a few drinks. Did not find it on this street even though it was so ripe with promise as the tree surely shows.

Weird huh. Yup. I never had a tree scowl at me before like that. o.0

I have no idea how I lived without these things. I'm serious. Fingerless mitts have made a huge difference in my ability to not freeze my ass off and still be able to type, knit and a million other things.  :D LOVE THEM MUCHLY. Plus they kick major ass.

Next up are the socks Cookie knit me out of Knit Picks Sock Garden in the colorway Hydrangea. SOOOOOOOO comfy. I love wearing handknit socks. You just feel all special and like your floating on air.

My feetsies never got cold, over hot or weird and I wore them in shoes for about 15 hours last Saturday. (I was out all day long and it was a VERY cold day.)

In fact last Saturday I was out wearing 4 Handknit Items. These new Cookie Socks, Cookie Alpaca Fetchings, Hatty the Hat and the pink and white Irish Hiking Scarf. :D

Well that's the photos and the start of another weekend. I hope to have lots of knitting. Even if it means finishing up that damn Noro Scarf. I hate it SO MUCH. I got a splinter from it Wednesday night. o.0

I've got an extra skein if someone wants to make a trade. Rumor has it there are some people out there that actually like the stuff. *L*

I'd have dyed you a skein of yarn, Cookie, but the weather has been crazy freaking cold. Btw, how come it takes longer for dyed yarn to dry than a knit object? o.0 Anyone else see how weird that is. Anyway I'm going to dye you a skein of yarn once things settle and get a little warmer. Of course there is yarn for your birthday... ;^)

2.) B is for BitchPants. You can't get anywhere in life without a really good pair of BitchPants. BitchBoots will also work too. :P Not saying being a bitch is a good thing, but knowing when to pull out the stops and step up in your BitchPants is.

3.) B is for Bedtime. As in is it bedtime yet? Heh.

4.) B is for ... My Honey, my honey's private life name starts with a B.

5.) B is for Brother. My brother isn't just a brother but a friend. He's also an awesome person.

6.) B is for BamBoo. I'd like to knit with the BamBoo yarn in my stash, but I haven't decided what to make with it yet. BamBoo is also my favorite basic needle to work with.

7.) B is for Bloggers. Bloggers are some of my very favorite people. Especially Knit Bloggers. Saturday I was hanging out with some Knitters and found out one of them is also a blogger. Pretty cool.  *Waves @ Victoria* :D

8.) B is for Boston Legal. I love this show so damn much. I wish more people were like Alan Shore... you know sane and with a real sense of right & wrong. Plus Denny Crane is a hoot. ;^)

9.) B is for Bunny. That's the name my honey calls me most often. *L* *hop hop hop*

10.) B is for Bento! I love everything about Bento and the culture surrounding it. :D I'm still somewhat new to Bento. I've made Onigiri once. It was yummy... and in the shape of a bunny. I finally just got in my wooden sushi rice making bowl so I can start attempting to make my own sushi too. For a neat look at the type of Bento I'm interested in check out Cooking Cute.  Look at her gallery. SO COOL! *L* For the winter Holiday Cookie got me a new Bento Box... a Hello Kitty Bento Box and a set of Hello Kitty Chopsticks!!! Notice the Cookie's on the box. ;^)
