The last few weeks have been really busy, and the mostly good kind at that. :D
So I hadn't gotten around to posting about my yarn acquisitions in OtterLand and Las Vegas until now.
I'm only posting the things that are staying with me, not any gift yarn that found it's way home with me. ;^)
I'm also only just posting the yarn purchased and not any of the other stuff. Mainly cause I only have 30 minutes until Hero's comes on and I don't want to take the time to photograph and talk about that other stuff as it would take more brain power and time.
So without too much information and as fast as fast can be here is my Vacation Yarn Stash Additions. :D I really like sock yarn. You can get the right amount every time. *L*
Oh and all Photo's are clickety biggety.
Purchased in OtterLand:
Yarn Purchased in Las Vegas:
10 skeins of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool in Color 46 - to be a sweater for my honey someday.
That Wool Bam Boo stuff is crazy soft. I'm going to make Fingerless Mitts and a matching head warmer type thing with it someday.
Someday....
Someday when I finish the ducky hat and Pink Dream Socks. Some day after I do the Anemoi Mittens and some kind of lace with Dave's Yarn.
Someday after I make my honey a pair of socks. I have many yarns for him to have socks.
I've been busy lately and have not so much been knitting. Even when I've gone to knitting things and to hang out with my knitting friends I haven't been knitting. I dunno. It's like my brain is running around too fast to stop and just be calm and knit. I've been a bit hyper. (Ann this is your warning :p)
When I'm home at night with the honey watching TV or whatever instead of knitting I'm hugging the honey or kitty or just being still and kinda not doing anything except maybe actually watching TV or just talking to the honey. Did you see that last CSI? I had to put the needles down to watch that. And what the hell is up with Grissom and that woman? I wanna see what happens, Baby!
Besides actually being calm and quite when I've been home there's been a lot of cat watching and petting. I don't want to get into it right now. I'm just concerned as she's older and all. She slept one night kinda weird and that threw me off a little. She slept most of the night beside me instead of walking around or sleeping on my pillow and purring at me and licking my face. More on that later though. She's okay. I'm just a worried kitty servent. I worry a lot about people I love. I mean a LOT. Just ask Cookie. She's used to me worrying about everything.
It's hard to tell when it's time to worry and when my brain is just zooming by too fast and thinking of all the bad things that could be.
Next week she has to have a tooth removed. She'll be okay though.
She'll still have more teeth than Cookie's little sweetums. ;)
So anyway, I'm still here. Mostly having fun. Keeping busy. Trying not to worry.
Hero's will be on soon. If you haven't seen it yet you should. Very Good. Otter Like. :D
Okay now I gotta go hug on my snuggly butterball of furry love. Maybe I'll manage to get a few rows done on the socks too. ;^)
Sounds like you are expending so much energy being hyper during the day, doing what you have to do, that you just need quiet, still time in the evening. Makes sense to me.
What a great yarn haul! Enjoy every moment of it.

HEROS! (I made it home just in time to catch it last night.)
That Celestial yarn is very pretty. You can almost feel the softness through the screen. Or, I have a soft monitor.

I love the opal sock yarn in the last picture! I have a huge favor, can you bring it on Thursday? Thanks mucho! I am going to try to get there early if possible, we'll see. I hope you are having a good week. Sorry I haven't emailed you; I have been home sick. I still haven't had the nerve to try dayquil. :-) Talk to you soon.

I was oohhhing and aaaahing at your vacation yarn..great stuff!
I know, you are wishing that you were in Ann Land right now instead of in a few weeks. What's not to love about a foot of snow and blizzard conditions?
